Just north of Florence OR, the Heceta head Lighthouse stands above Cape Creek as it flows into the ocean. The beautiful beach cove below is a stunning spot for beach picnics, wildlife watching and beachcombing. This is a state Day Use Fee Area with on-site fee collection. A short trail from the park leads to the headlands above the spectacular Heceta Head Lighthouse. Tour the lighthouse from April through October. The lighthouse keeper's house is a present day B&B. (Formerly Devils Elbow State Park.) NOTE: The park is open. The lighthouse is closed for renovations until August 2013.
