The Oregon Wine Board held a tasting event and a seminar on March 14 in Tokyo. Twenty-two wine makers participated in the tasting event and offered about 80 kinds of Oregon wine, an more than 200 people involved visited it. The Oregon Wine Board has also held a sales promotion, "Enjoy Oregon Wine Fair" from March 1 to April 30.

A new European-style bike event, combining both competitive and recreational riding experiences, will roll out in Eugene, Oregon's nearby town of Cottage Grove on June 2. The 2012 Oregon Gran Fondo cycling event will reflect an age-old tradition that originated in France and Italy where cyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to ride a stage of a professional grand tour, such as the Tour de France.
