Location: The Eugene, Cascades & Coast region is a slice of western Oregon that stretches from the coast to the Cascades, encompassing Lane County. The regional boundaries are Florence on the Oregon coast (Highway 101) through Eugene - Springfield (Interstate 5) at the southern end of the Willamette Valley to the Cascade Mountain Range – McKenzie River Valley (Highway 126) and Oakridge-Westfir (Highway 58).
Lowest Elevation: Sea Level, Florence.
Highest Elevation: South Sister, Cascade Mountain Range - 10,385 feet/3157 meters.
Climate: Moderate weather year-round.
  Summer (June - August) visitors can expect warm and mostly dry weather ideal for outdoor pursuits such as hiking, mountain biking, camping and river rafting.
  Fall (September - October) brings cool and clear weather with magnificent changes in leaf color. Visitors will still find many outdoor activities enjoyable.
  Winter’s rainy season (November - February) inspires storm watching along the coast, winter festivals, holiday shopping, and snow skiing.
  Spring (March - May) lush green landscapes and blooming flower gardens herald the start of the recreational season.
