Travel Lane County's Annual Awards Presentation
Travel Lane County's visitor industry celebration honors regional tourism achievements. This year the celebration was held during National Tourism Week, May 2 - 10. Todd Davidson, CEO of Travel Oregon was the featured speaker at a luncheon held in the lobby of the Hult Center. Guests were entertained by the Eugene Concert Choir. Carveture carved the wooden award plaques from local timber.

Mayor Christine Lundberg, Springfield - Community Leadership Award
Presented to a group, business or individual that has significantly contributed to the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region's tourism industry or visitor experience through an advocacy program(s), visitor product(s), or community development.
Willamette National Forest - Destination Award for the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail
Presented to a business or individual who, through their efforts, have excelled in promoting the community and the Eugene, Cascades & Coast as a visitor destination.
Destination Award Criteria
- Unique - their very presence creates a reason the visitor visits our community.
- Efforts and promotions have increased outside awareness and made our area more visible.
- Growth and success benefits and enhances the image of the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region.
