The classic Disney animated movie “Cars” will be projected on the inflatable big screen as volunteers from American Cinema Equipment in Portland converge on Florence to recreate the old Rhododendron Drive-In for one night only. Originally broadcast on KCFM AM1250 and FM104.1, this year’s movie audio will air on KCST 106.9 FM.

In 1983 a group of talented musicians attending Arizona State University formed a musical ensemble whose artistic focus centered around the musical traditions of early New Orleans jazz. Over 25 years later, the same core members are still expanding their musical palette to include a half-century of jazz styles from early New Orleans Dixieland and blues to big band swing and popular standards.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) offers Family Fishing Days at stocked ponds throughout Oregon. Onsite ODFW staff and volunteers provide all the equipment and teach youth how to bait, cast and reel in your catch. Licenses are required for anyone 14 years and older. Licenses can be purchased online.
