Art galleries and creative cottage industries are abundant throughout the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region. Attend art events from gallery receptions to fine art exhibits at museums.

Discover gallery enclaves along the McKenzie River and in Eugene, home to many internationally-acclaimed artists. Inspired by nature, potter Ken Standhardt throws unique clay vessels, bowls and vases marking each with intricate patterns reminiscent in pinecones, ferns, sunflowers and woven baskets. His tool kit is simple: a "church key" kitchen opener and a ballpoint pen for creating precise indentations into the semi-dry clay. Fired, stained and glazed for dishwasher, microwave and oven safety, his work can be practical as well as beautiful. Ken has a home studio and gallery in Southeast Eugene which is open by appointment. His collections are on display from Washington D.C. to Bangkok, Thailand.

Unique, three dimensional, stained glass created in the cold glass method. Made with lead and foil and solder. Designs include frogs, hummingbirds, butterflies, flowers, angels and others. They are made to hang in a window or outdoors in a garden; there are table top pieces and garden stakes. Some pieces are mounted on drift wood.
