Wildlife & Animal Viewing

Have an amazing wildlife encounter at a dedicated animal facility or sanctuary like the Sea Lion Caves or the Cascades Raptor Center. From aquariums to hatcheries, there are a variety of fun and educational arenas throughout the region.

View wildlife up close in Oregon's many natural open spaces, parks and preserves. Whale watch along the scenic Oregon Coast, bird watch at local ponds and estuaries or hike into forest groves to look for raccoons, opossum, beavers, porcupines, skunks, deer, elk, wolves and black bear, among others. 

Willamette Valley's agricultural land offers an abundance of farm animals including cows, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens and even alpacas! Drive the scenic byways during the springtime to see lots of baby animals. With such a diverse group of wild and domesticated animals, there is bound to be a thrilling interaction either at a petting zoo or along a woodsy trail.
