Join a small group of eight volunteers repairing and rebuilding mountain biking trails in the McKenzie River Ranger District. Help the McKenzie River area recover from the devastating wildfires of 2020, while getting an up close and personal tour of this amazing river eco-system. The volunteer work party package is $775 for three days and two nights in regional lodging, organized by Global Family Travels and First Nature Tours. The service commitment is approximately 10 to 12 hours of moderate to advanced level work over two days. Additionally there will be guided mountain biking experiences. Learn about the life-cycle of wildfires, major environmental and cultural impacts of public land management and the role of stewardship. Be part of the McKenzie Regenerative Travel Project! Community partners include the Disciples of Dirt. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place. More details to come, including weekend dates in September. If the group package is sold out, inquire about personally customized voluntourism opportunities. Also look for many different packages offered throughout the summer.
