Music, food, dancing and film, Aloha! Start the evening with a social hour at 5 p.m. Pre-show music by Dick Takei from Portland with Hawaiian food by Everyday Kine Grindz, pizza and libations by Whirled Pies and Hawaiian lomilomi massage by Stacy Sellers. Main show starts at 6 p.m. Ashland's premier Hawaiian band, Ha'ena, performs music of the Hawaiian Renaissance like Keali'i Reichel and HAPA, as well as traditional and some popular music like Pink Martini. Their instrumentation is light -- just one guitar -- instead emphasizing beautiful voices and harmonies. They will be joined by guest dancers from Eugene's hula school, Nā Pua O Hawai'i Nei. Finish the night with a short documentary film, Last of the Hawaiian Cowboys, a poetic yet authentic portrait of a vanishing lifestyle in Hawai'i.
