Cycle to a wildflower foray with a local expert as your guide, exploring a rare, remnant prairie and oak habitat along Dorena Lake looking for wildflowers. Bikes to Blooms is a free, educational event for families and nature enthusiasts. It includes a morning bird walk, stewardship opportunities, educational booths hosted by local organizations and guided wildflower walks. Travel southeast of Cottage Grove and experience this ecologically valuable and scenic landscape and to see the South Willamette Valley in bloom.
Participants should bring a picnic lunch, water, weather-appropriate clothing, weed-free shoes and a helmet if cycling. Limited parking and no dogs. Bake Stewart Park is not on Google Maps, but is located between the southeast end of Dorena Lake and the Dorena Covered Bridge.
