World renowned birder and Eugene area resident Noah Strycker will give a presentation focusing on birds portrayed in the acclaimed National Geographic book "Birds of the Photo Ark." The book features stunning photos of birds of every shape, size and color as shot by photographer Joel Satore, for which Strycker provided the text. "Birds of the Photo Ark" gives readers a chance to look at birds face-to-face in their formal studio portraits and highlights beautiful, exotic and threatened birds from around the planet. Strycker is also known for setting the world record for a "Big Year" by seeing 6,042 species in a single calendar year, which is more than half of all known bird species.
This event is April's monthly program meeting for the Lane County Audubon Society.
