Duo Wil B. and Kev Marcus continue their successful Classical Boom Tour at the Hult Center and will bring to the audience a distinct sound that fuses classical and hip-hop influences. Both performers grew up and attended school in Broward County, Florida before attending separate colleges on full music scholarships. Wil B. plays the viola while Kev Marcus plays the violin, collaborating and sharing the stage with such artists as Kanye West, Tom Petty and Alicia Keys. Most recently, Black Violin was announced as Turnaround Artists, a prestigious designation that matches artists, mentorship, musical instrument grants and more to struggling schools. They have also served as the house band for the Heisman Memorial Trophy presentation for two years in a row and their track "Stereotypes" was chosen to promote the U.S. Open tennis tournament. Black Violin continues to break cultural and musical stereotypes to advocate for musical education across North America.
