Famed Teddy Roosevelt expert and impersonator Joe Wiegand will stop in Eugene as part of a nationwide tour to turn back the clock to the time of "The Lion's" presidency, from the end of the Gilded Age to the emergence of the Progressive Era. Weigand works the audience, asking and answering questions of national and international importance from the years before, during and after Roosevelt's presidency (1902 - 1909). Theodore Roosevelt is considered by many historians and Americans to be one of the best presidents of the United States, with some of his accomplishments including championing his "Square Deal," leading the nation in conservation of America's natural wonders and paving the way for the construction of the Panama Canal. Stay until the end of the show when Roosevelt will auction off a namesake Teddy bear!
