This event has been canceled. Run along the Willamette River in a marathon, half marathon or 5K from the quaint, countryside town of Coburg to Harrisburg along a flat and fast course for the third annual Pacific Northwest Marathon! These towns are preparing to host runners and support teams to make the race the experience of a lifetime. The course has little elevation gain and in fact goes gradually downhill to give you a little boost. Along the way, explore the scenic farmlands of the South Willamette Valley. The Pacific Northwest Marathon has a mission to fight the fitness crisis in America and help everyone achieve their fitness dreams while inspiring others along the way. Running a marathons can help people achieve new heights, overcome personal challenges and be more healthy! The half marathon and 5K run will start later, at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., respectively.

This USATF certified course is a great one to set a personal record on due to its gentle nature along the floor of the valley. The Pacific Northwest Marathon is one of the last qualifiers for the upcoming Boston Marathon, so be ready to cross that finish line! The field size limit is limited to 550 people for the full marathon and 600 people for the half. Pacers will stay on their assigned pace until the 22-mile mark, when they will catch up or fall back to assist any runners or walkers who need support to reach their goal.

There will be plenty of aid stations, bathrooms, course markings, marshals and water stops to help each participant achieve the best race possible. Shuttles will be provided from host hotels and from the Harrisburg finish. A pre-race expo at Norma Pfeiffer Park in Coburg on Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. includes a feast, live music, socialization with people sharing common goals and celebration of all things fitness.
