As part of a monthly series on science topics relating to watershed projects and environmental management, Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council (CFWWC) presents a talk Fire Management Challenges and Opportunities in a Changing Climate. The talk will be given by Fire Manager and Burn Boss Amanda Stamper of The Nature Conservancy. Discussion will will revolve on the rising prominence of wildfires due to climate change and how it impacts wildlife and society and how people can work collaboratively to make progress in developing resilience and effective wildfire response. Informal socializing, trivia and updates on the watershed council will be held during the first hour of the meeting with the presentation beginning at 6 p.m.
