The Fourth of July is the most energetic day of the year in Creswell with crowd-pleasing annual traditions and celebrations of the red, white and blue. Festivities start off every year with a pancake breakfast before the big parade. Planes buzz down at 11 a.m. to signal the start of the parade, which includes marching bands, beauty queens, fire engines, horses and many more fun entries. After-parade fun includes all the necessary elements to celebrate Independence day, including food like hot dogs and burgers, treats, a beer garden and kids activities. Look for a vintage car show in the afternoon and live performances by local bands. Kids ages eight to 17 can head out to Hobby Field to get a chance to fly in a small airplane with volunteer pilots and their aircrafts! The Fourth of July celebration concludes with a traditional fireworks show at dusk.
