Digging in Their Heels - History of the Suffrage Movement


In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment which afforded women the right to vote in the United States of America, the Shelton McMurphey Johnson house will host a fun, educational storytelling performance at the Oregon Contemporary Theatre. The history of the Suffrage Movement will be presented by award-winning storyteller Sally Perkins.

"Digging in Their Heels" is part of year-long celebration of the 19th Amendment by the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House, which will host several events throughout the year to commemorate such a significant step toward equality in America.
