View a presentation of feature films, shorts and documentaries of all classes of films created by Asian Americans at the 15th annual DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon. The festival is the premiere event of Asian American film in the state and works to inform, heal and connect people through the power of visual storytelling. Films aim to bring power to the voices of Asian Americans and advocate for social justice to "break open the one-dimensional stereotype of the 'Oriental.'" At the festival, meet many of the filmmakers and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded fans at festival parties, social events and screenings.
Screenings will be held at the Broadway Metro on March 10, 12, 13, 16 and 17 and at the Erb Memorial Union Room 214 on March 13, 14 and 15. For a full schedule of films, please see http://disorientfilm.org/.
