Take a tour of the historic Finn Rock Logging Camp! Listen to the stories and lesson learned from these former residents who lived and worked at Finn Rock. After remaining in Rosboro's ownership for over 75 years, McKenzie River Trust purchased the 278-acre property in 2015 and 2016. The property hosts considerable ecologically valuable features including two miles of riverfront, intact floodplain forest, numerous side channels, and wetlands that are a haven for plant and animal species along the McKenzie. Finn Rock Reach also contains two key social assets: the old Finn Rock Logging Camp and the Finn Rock Boat Landing.
Established in the early 1940s by Rosboro lumber company, the camp housed employees and their families as they worked on the surrounding timber lands. In later years, the camp housed community members until its demolition in the early 1980s.
