Girls in grades four through six are invited to attend a series of workshops presented by the Eugene Science Center to get them pumped about the STEM fields and practice hands-on learning at University of Oregon laboratories. The young scientists will complete research and explore the scientific process with activities in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and more. Pick the workshops that sound most interesting or attend them all!
The schedule of workshops is as follows:
February 10 - "Whodunnit? A Case of the Missing Cookies" at the University of Oregon.
February 17 - Girls' Physics Adventures at the University of Oregon.
February 24 - Adapt or Go Extinct: Ecology at the UO Museum of Natural and Cultural History.
March 3 - Math Adventures at Eugene Science Center.
March 10 - Rocks, Crystals and Fossils: Geology at the University of Oregon.
March 17 - Astronomy with Special Guest NASA Astronaut Wendy Lawrence at Eugene Science Center.
