Shedd Theatricals presents the 1950 musical comedy smash hit Guys and Dolls. The play, created by Frank Loesser, Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, is based on the fictional version of New York City created by author Damon Runyan in his short stories. The main character of the show, Nathan Detroit, is a gambler who bets his buddy for $1,000 that he won't be able to take a missionary woman to Havana for a one-night dinner. Nathan's friend accepts the challenge while Nathan deals with his own challenges surround his fourteen-year engagement to his fiancee. This edition at The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts will be directed by Peg Major.
