"In A Landscape: Classical Music in the Wild" will come to Baker Bay Park near Dorena Reservoir for a unique experience that joins the beauty of nature with the artistry of music as pianist Hunter Noack performs a live concert on a nine-foot Steinway piano. The acclaimed series takes Noack to the middle of forests, fields, calderas and historical sites throughout the Northwest to deliver exceptional performances that captivate a diverse audience. Guests may reserve headphones that provide an optimal listening experience so that they may explore the scenery, wander through meadows and roam old-growth forests without losing the musical sounds traditionally found at an intimate concert. In A Landscape events are offered primarily in rural communities for free or on a donation basis in the spirit of the Works Progress Administration's Federal Music and Theatre Projects during the Great Depression, which offered thousands of free concerts and plays in public spaces.
Tickets are required to reserve headsets for the full In A Landscape experience. Regular tickets are $25 and a limited number of free tickets are available to Lane County residents, Oregon Trail Card holders and for those ages 25 and under.
