Indigenous Peoples' Day

Details

The Museum of Natural and Cultural History at the University of Oregon will be open with free admission in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day! Learn about and celebrate 14,000 years of Native culture in Oregon - from the First Americans at Paisley Caves to the dynamic cultures of today's Tribes. Delve into history with the "Oregon - Where Past is Present" exhibit featuring archaeological finds and interactive technology for a hands on experience of the collection. The current Featured Artist at the Museum is New Mexico based Cannupa Hanska Luger, who was raised on the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. View his work that invites all to engage with Indigenous Peoples and values apart from a colonial lens in an exhibit called "ar-ti-fact."
