Learn to Quest with Vision Quest, an initiative of Siuslaw Vision which brings together multiple Florence-area partners to provide high-quality, free programming on the outdoors to the region. Two new Quests have recently been launched in the Siuslaw region, and those interested are invited to learn more. Quests are fun learning adventures that use clues and hints to help participants discover natural, cultural and historic gems along the coast and in the community. Self-guided quests are suitable for all ages to allow lifelong learners the chance to explore local parks, trails and outdoor spaces at their own pace. This session will teach attendees how to Quest, where to find them and why everyone should try it. Copies of the Lagoon Trail Quest and the Historic Old Town Quest will be available thanks to the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce.

The next day, celebrate the launch of the Lagoon Trail Quest with a Campfire Party at Waxmyrtle Campground. Rangers and Quest writers will be on hand at Campsite #3 with free s'mores, interpretive tables and a campfire, ready to answer your questions. Waxmyrtle Campground at Siltcoos Recreation Area is located just south of Dunes City near milepost 198 on Hwy 101.

There will be two sessions on Saturday, one at 1 p.m. and another at 2:30 p.m. The event on Sunday is drop-in.
