Renowned koto player Mitsuki Dazai will perform at Party on the Plaza to showcase her incredible talent on a unique instrument. A koto is a long Japanese board zither with 13 strings and movable bridges. The right hand plucks the strings while the left hand manipulates the strings to alter the pitch and sound. Dazai graduated from Tokyo's prestigious Kunitachi College of Music and the Sawai Koto Institute and has been playing koto worldwide ever since.
A diverse range of acts is presented by the Hult Center for the Performing Arts as part of the Party on the Plaza series of events that take place every summer, this year on Thursdays. Head down to the plaza for an evening of entertainment and good company in the warm summer breeze.
