Moonlight Serenade - Swing and the War Years

Details

Jesse Cloninger and The Jazz Kings will survey the extraordinarily rich repertoire of music from both sides of the Atlantic during World War II, including a choice selection of Swing classics made famous by Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw and others. Also, listen to other unforgettable songs from those years by The Andrews Sisters, Francis Langford, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, a fine selection of songs that came out of Great Britain and Europe. This performance is part of The Shedd Institute's annual Oregon Festival of American Music.
