Details

Year of the Dog - Bark to the Future is this year's theme for the 33rd annual Oregon Asian Celebration. In addition to the cultural entertainment, performances, fine arts and demonstrations of Asian crafts, cooking and martial arts, this year's event is partnering with local schools to showcase youth projects in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). These projects will take place throughout the event venue. Visit our Asian heritage exhibit focusing on immigration stories, an Asian food court of tempting cuisine and a marketplace of more than 70 vendors. A complete schedule of activities and performances will be available at the door or online on their website. The event is produced by the Eugene/Springfield Asian Council whose mission is to create opportunities that foster greater understanding of Asian and Asian American cultures by presenting special events and activities to promote friendship and harmonious relationships. Proceeds from the event go toward annual college scholarships and community grants administered by the Asian American Foundation of Oregon.
