"Party on the Plaza" will showcase a different performing arts group each Thursday throughout the months of July and August. This diverse range of acts is presented by the Hult Center for the Performing Arts as part of a series of events that take place every summer. Head down to the plaza for an evening of entertainment and good company in the warm summer breeze.
The following performers are scheduled to take the stage:
July 12: Dana Louise & The Glorious Birds - jazz and bluegrass with a contemporary beat.
July 19: The BrassRoots Movement - traditional and modern New Orleans-style brass band music.
July 26: Eric Stern - Operatic tenor, accordionist, pianist, oudist and consummate showman.
August 2: Northstar Dance Company - an inter-tribal group of contemporary Native American dancers.
August 9: Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre - traditional Mexican dance group with various worldly influences.
August 16: Okaidja Afroso - musical storyteller following the journey of African diasporas.
August 23: Mitsuki Dazai - renowned player of the traditional Japanese instrument, Koto.
August 30: Nanda - ninja theater troupe present comedy sketches, skill acts and signature action.
