Proxy Falls and Linton Lake Hike

Details

The first of these two short hikes loops through a lava field, with expansive views of the surrounding forested ridges, then passes two of the prettiest waterfalls found in Oregon, lower and upper Proxy Falls. The group will then drive farther up the Old McKenzie Pass Highway and hike one and one-half miles to Linton Lake in the Three Sisters Wilderness. From a vantage point on the lava flow that dams the lake, you can look across and up to Linton Falls, a series of falls and cascades tumbling one thousand feet. Everyone will meet at Bob Keefer Center and go to the destination from there.
