Quack Chats: Decision Making in a Dangerous World

In his new book "The Undoing Project,” best-selling author Michael Lewis details how research by Israeli psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky revolutionized our understanding about decision-making in the face of risk and uncertainty. Early on, the two men spent a year in Eugene. University of Oregon psychology professor, Paul Slovic, will share stories about their work during 1971-1972, and how they influenced his research and laid the groundwork for the field now known as behavioral economics. He will address how research building on Kahneman and Tversky’s pioneering work relates to today's refugee crises and other major threats to people and the environment.
