City Lights Cinema is bringing back some horror classics for fall with the Retro Nightmares series. The first film in the lineup is The House on Sorority Row, about seven sorority sisters and a prank that goes terribly wrong. The House on Sorority Row will play on September 27 at 7 p.m.
On October 4 at 6 p.m., catch a double feature of Amityville: The Evil Escapes (1989) and Amityville: It's About Time (1992). Both films revolve around single parents and their children in the haunted Amityville, New York.
On October 11 at 6 p.m., see another double feature, this times Sweet Sixteen (1983) and The Convent (2000). In Sweet Sixteen, murder and mayhem surround the new girl in town, while in The Convent, a coed and a formal mental patient must battle Satanists who transform students into the undead.
