City Lights Cinema will be screening performances of England's Royal Ballet taking place on stage at the Royal Opera House in London. Ballets will come from a variety of sources and include some of the most revered pieces of classical ballet as well as contemporary works with new choreography.
March 13 & 16 - "Don Quixote," based on Marius Petipa's 19th-century classic adapted from the novel by Miguel de Cervantes.
May 1 & 4 - "La Forza Del Destino," created by famed composer Giuseppe Verdi with an original premiere in 1862.
May 22 & 25 - "Faust," the opera by Charles Gounod based on Part I of Goethe's epic poem also titled "Faust."
June 19 & 22 - Triple billing of "Within the Golden Hour," "Flight Pattern" and a yet-to-be named piece choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
July 3 & 6 - "Romeo & Juliet," choreography from Kenneth MacMillan with Sergey Prokofiev's iconic score.
