The Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council welcomes U.S. Forest Service Cottage Grove Ranger District Botanist, Krista Farris, and District Ranger, K.C. Briggs. This presentation will explain the NEPA process for the US Forest Service from the proposal stage of a project, to the public comment period and implementation. Ms. Farris and Ms. Briggs will discuss what goes into integrated resource restoration projects (IRR), vegetation management focused on sylviculture prescriptions, recreation, wildlife and botanical resources, fisheries and aquatic resources. The event begins with informal socializing, trivia, prizes and updates about the watershed and watershed council during the first hour. Then the Science Pub presentation begins at 6 p.m. Participants are encouraged to support the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council by ordering food and drinks from 5 - 7:30 p.m., as 10% of the sales from evening sales will benefit the Watershed Council. The event is free to the public and all ages are welcome.
