The Ethics & Aesthetics of Cultural Criticism

Details

Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, cultural critic, journalist and professor Margo Jefferson will speak on the ethics and aesthetics of cultural criticism delving into how we bring all the traditions that have shaped us to complex questions of identity and community. Jefferson questions the potential  boundaries of intersectionality and elaborates on her memoir, Negroland, about life as an upper-middle-class-black-worker-turned-socialite mother in Chicago. After the lecture, stay for the book sale and signing.
