The Red Violin - Eugene Symphony

American composer John Corigliano's Chaconne leads an evening of music bounding with passion and grace and performed by the Eugene Symphony. The piece, written for the haunting film "The Red Violin," updates a Baroque dance form originally written for the organ. Mendelssohn's "The Italian" will close the program. Returning to Eugene are noted American conductor Tito Muñoz and English violinist Chloë Hanslip.
