Details

There are thousands of native people in western Oregon, and their history is a complicated and multi-faceted one. A new exhibit "Their Hearts are in This Land" explores the dynamic and diverse native community of this place we call home and highlights living native cultures. The opening reception will feature remarks by Dr. David Lewis, Grand Ronde Tribal Ethnohistorian, Gordon Bettles, Klamath Tribal Member and Director of the University of Oregon, Many Nations Longhouse as well as a ceremonial invocation by the Grand Ronde singers.
