Murals & Street Art
Explore gigantic murals splashed across buildings and tiny artistic tributes in unexpected places across the region. From contemporary sculptures to traditional bronze pieces, the region's stories and creative ingenuity are expressed in 3D on street corners and in public parks.
Take a self-guided mural tour, or see some of the murals during community art walks. Art walks are typically held once a month on Friday evenings and highlight local artists, galleries and street art.
Eugene Area Murals & Sculpture
Muralists from around the world were invited to create original art as part of the 20x21 EUG Mural Project, and it's easy to see these and hundreds more murals on a self-guided mural tour around Eugene.
Additionally, Eugene has diverse and bountiful public art throughout the city. Bronze sculptures memorialize significant people and events. Modern installations on the Whilamut Passage Bridge greet drivers on Interstate 5. And the locally beloved "Flight Patterns" exhibit is on display at the Eugene Airport.
The City of Eugene sponsors pop-up art installations including Rain Play, a series of sidewalk art that appear only in the rain, and Playable Public Art, which features colorfully painted pianos rolled into unexpected downtown locations to inspire public participation. The University of Oregon has an extensive display of art and sculpture across their campus.
