Huckleberry Flats is a motorized-only trail system that consists of 65 miles of Class I and Class III trails. Some of the trails can be rode with a Class IV with various degrees of difficulty. The trails are set in a second-growth forest of Douglas Fir with dense rhododendrons and vine maple. The trails range from old roads and skid roads to tight woods trails. There is a limited amount of motorcycle (Class III) only trails.
The main well-marked trail loop begins at the single staging area with the gravel parking lot. At the staging area there is also a vault toilet, an information kiosk, a mile-long warm up trail and a small open area for novice riders. The large number of one way trails make Huckleberry Flats a family friendly riding area. Huckleberry Flats is open to riders year round with the best conditions in the fall and spring. Trails get dusty in the summer and may be closed seasonally or due to fire restrictions. Area may be snowed in during the winter.
