King-Castle Trail #4326, Upper Castle Rock

This 4.1 mi (6,5 km) trail is arduous with some switchbacks and rocky climbs. The trail connects with Forest Service Trail #3506 - Castle Rock. Hike or backpack through dense, 600 year old Douglas-fir forest on an unused logging road. Views of the Three Sisters Mountains. Directions: From Hwy 126 turn on to McKenzie Scenic Road. After entering Rainbow, drive across the covered bridge and turn left. Then follow signs for the trailhead. Park at King Castle Trailhead.
