Hike or bike this rugged trail built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 30s. Typically open from mid-spring to late fall, the Olallie Ridge Loop is a challenging trail that requires fitness and skill. But, the final descent is well worth the work. From the Olallie North Trailhead on National Forest Road #1993 head south on trail #3529. From there, the climb begins and does not give in until you are atop MacDuff Mountain viewing the Cascades landscape.
