Founded in 1982, the Oregon Mozart Players is comprised of local professional musicians who perform a large repertoire of music for chamber orchestra. OMP performances take place in small, intimate venues to create the best sonic experience for the performer, as well as the concertgoer. The Beall Concert Hall on the University of Oregon Campus is their primary performance venue which provides an intimate performance atmosphere. In addition to their Beall Hall concert series, the Oregon Mozart Players performs an annual Candlelight Concert featuring music from the Baroque era performed in a candlelit setting. Their newest series “OMP Presents” is comprised of pop-up events called "Pint Size Performances" and "OMP Uncorked", which take place at local craft breweries and wineries.
Artistic Director and Conductor Kelly Kuo brings years of experience which has translated into creating a professional, talented, and enthusiastic chamber orchestra.
The Oregon Mozart Players offer a five-concert season – the 2020-2021 season includes: "Noël", "Candlelight Concert", "French Connections", "She Says", and "Courage", with an add-on event at the Eugene Science Center called "Orbiting Spheres". Season tickets and concert packages available.
