Unveiled in 2009 on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, this bronze statue features Rosa Parks sitting in a bus seat. The sculpture's unveiling was done as part of renaming Eugene Station Plaza to Rosa Parks Plaza. This dedication made Eugene the first city in the United States to have a bus station named in Rosa Park's honor.
