Things to Do

The scenic drive along Highway 58 through Lowell offers stunning vistas of sparkling lakes dotted with crew teams and fishing boats. Stop at the historic Lowell Covered Bridge Interpretative Center to walk through the bridge and learn about the area's many covered bridges. Better yet, get out on the water for a day of water skiing, wake boarding, wind surfing, sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming or fishing. Along the shorelines enjoy picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, disc golf and birding

In Lowell's small town, re-stock ice and picnic supplies for your day's adventures. Children can enjoy the Rolling Rock Interpretative Park featuring local railroad history and its machinery. On the west side of the highway is the former Dexter Lake Club, filmed in Animal House.
