The Eugene Airport (EUG) is looking forward to making new connections. As the second largest airport in Oregon, the Eugene Airport’s focus is to make travel easy and accommodating to different schedules. In 2019, the Eugene Airport serviced 1,218,104 passengers, an increase of 4.2% over 2018 passenger numbers. As planners begin booking face-to-face events again, the Eugene Airport has added new airlines and non-stop flight options to bring attendees to the region.
Southwest Airlines - Las Vegas, Oakland
The Eugene Airport is proud to welcome Southwest Airlines. Southwest will begin running nonstop, roundtrip routes from Eugene to Las Vegas once daily and to Oakland in California’s Bay Area twice daily beginning August 29. With these direct flights and Southwest's many connecting cities, event attendees will now be within easy reach of the region's natural beauty as well as its vibrant arts scene, outdoor attractions and renowned college athletics. The Eugene Airport is hopeful that this expanded accessibility to the area will help bring increased business to the hospitality industry, which includes hotels, restaurants, entertainment/recreation, and the retail sector.
American Airlines - Dallas-Fort Worth
American Airlines added new nonstop service between Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and the Eugene Airport. This exciting flight addition was made in anticipation of the return of passengers to the air travel market. Flights began in March and the scheduled flight times (all times local) are: EUG to DFW: 11:54 a.m. – 5:40 p.m. and DFW to EUG: 12:50 p.m. – 3:10 p.m. American Airlines wanted to provide more choices to its customers and added its largest hub to the Eugene Airport’s flight choices. This decision also complements their existing service to Phoenix.
Avelo Airlines - Hollywood/Burbank
Next in the schedule of new 2021 flight services, Avelo Airlines selected Eugene, along with 12 other airports to be the inaugural cities for its new startup budget airline. Avelo’s inaugural routes focus on outdoor recreation, national parks, and coastal and mountain terrain destinations. The new non-stop service began May 12 and will operate between Hollywood Burbank Airport and the Eugene Airport. This convenient option offers expedient access into the northern Los Angeles area. Flights will operate four days of the week - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The scheduled flight times (all times local) are as follows: BUR to EUG: 7:10 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. EUG to BUR: 9:55 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.
Allegiant Airlines - San Diego, Palm Springs
Allegiant Airlines will also recommence its seasonal route to San Diego. Started in May of 2018, this seasonal route operates twice weekly from May to October. This route solidifies the Eugene Airport’s focus on getting non-stop flights to popular destinations around the country, so that more flights are available to potential passengers.
Allegiant Airlines will also restart its seasonal flight to Palm Springs again in November, linking travelers from Eugene to Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) in Southern California. These two non-stop flights per week will offer introductory fares of $49 one way.
Direct Flights
There are now 15 direct flights offered by the Eugene Airport including service to Chicago - O'Hare (United), Dallas-Fort Worth (American), Denver (United), Hollywood/Burbank (Avelo), Las Vegas (Allegiant), Los Angeles (Allegiant, American), Oakland (Allegiant), Palm Springs (Allegiant), Phoenix Sky Harbor (American), Phoenix-Mesa (Allegiant), Portland (Alaska), Salt Lake City (Delta), San Diego (Allegiant), San Francisco (United) and Seattle (Alaska, Delta).
