When you hear about one of the latest and greatest scientific facilities, you have to share it. And when that facility is in your backyard, you get even more excited to share it with meeting planners and groups alike. In the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region, we will soon have access to one of the latest facilities in the world for training a new generation of scientists on fast-tracking scientific discoveries into life-changing innovations. The University of Oregon with Phil and Penny Knight are creating the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact (Knight Campus).

The Knight Campus will dovetail with Oregon’s Signature Research Centers as well as provide a natural complement to startup and innovation efforts statewide and regionally. This is a powerful platform for scientists and researchers to collaborate and partner together—aiming at solving some the world’s most pressing issues.

For meeting planners and attendees, there soon will be a new kind of meeting opportunity in Eugene, OR. Local intellectual capital will be growing rapidly and so will the opportunities to hear about the latest breakthrough research. We'll be sharing more as this project develops and manifests itself in the community.
