This is definitely mountain biking country, but Oakridge - Westfir is also an excellent area for camping, hiking, rafting, boating, fishing, birding and all the snow sports. 

The Middle Fork of the Willamette River runs south of town, easily accessible at Greenwaters Park, a perfect place for picnicking. Community events are often held at its amphitheater. Just before Oakridge, between mile markers 45 and 46, soak in the McCredie Hot Springs. In neighboring Westfir, visit the Office Covered Bridge, a historic covered bridge built in 1944. With so much to do around Oakridge, you'll want to make it base camp!
