Insider Tips

Insider tips for attendees of the Oregon Governors' Conference on Tourism 2019.

Welcome to Eugene!

We are so excited to have you here and want to make sure you make the most of your stay. Here’s a checklist of things not to miss before, during and after the conference.

  • Follow the Food Trail: Get a sneak peak of the South Willamette Valley Food Trail and start exploring restaurants, craft distilleries, farms and more – the new brochure detailing the full trail will be unveiled during the conference.
  • Go for a free bike ride: The bike is provided free from PeaceHealth Rides, so bring your helmet and jump on the Ruth Bascom Riverfront Path, located just minutes from the conference. Find more details on this and many more special deals we’ve collected for you during the conference.

  • Run, walk or bike: The early morning run/walk is Tuesday this year. To add to the fun, we’re also offering a classic Eugene bike ride! The Eugene Marathon is hosting the run, Eugene’s 20x21 mural project is hosting the walk and PeaceHealth Rides is hosting the bike ride. The route includes the Ruth Bascom Riverfront Path with viewpoints along the way that showcase Eugene’s arts and culinary/beverage scene. Route Map. The bike ride requires pre-registration. Sign up at the Eugene, Cascades & Coast booth near conference registration.
  • Take a classic Eugene selfie: After a big Oregon Duck football game win, there’s always a rush to the 50-yard line to take a selfie. Be sure to join the party Sunday night to take this iconic shot at the Sunday Night Out at Autzen Stadium. Tag us (@eugenecascadescoast) on Instagram so we can see your photo!
