Hike Heceta Lightstation's scenic trail up to the lighthouse, which is part of the Oregon Coast Trail. This magical walk offers memorable views. Docents are staged at the lighthouse from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm daily. 

Insider Tip: Take the hike at sunset, or if you're staying the night, B&B guests have access to the lighthouse tower viewing area after dark for an extra special experience. Heceta Lightstation is celebrating 125 years in service this year

Sea Lions at the Sea Lion Cave in Florence

Experience Sea Lion Caves:  The largest sea cave in America! Watch for whales, then take their elevator deep into the cave to view Stellar sea lions.

Insider Tip: Find the great photo opp inside the sea cave by taking the stairs to the hole in the rock framing Heceta Head Lighthouse.

Stroll Historic Old Town Florence along the Siuslaw River. The Second Saturday Gallery Tour  is Saturday, April 13th from 5:00-8:00 pm. This monthly Gallery Walk is always a treat with wine and refreshments. Meet the local artists and view artwork in a variety of media and styles.

Insider Tip: Collect charms while you shop and walk the Florence Charm Trail, delve into history walking the Old Town Quest, which ends at the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum.

Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Florence, Oregon Coast by Curt Peters

Browse the beaches for agates and shells, see exciting geological formations at Cape Perpetua (the highest point on the Oregon Coast), or ride a horse by the sea with a guide at Florence's C&M Stables.

Insider Tip:  Explore Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area by renting a sand board at Sandmaster Park to surf the dunes or take a thrill ride on a guided dune buggy tour at either Sandland Adventures or Sand Dunes Frontier.
