Cottage Grove Resident Honored by Travel Oregon

- "The City of Cottage Grove is excited that Marie Longfellow is being recognized and honored for her volunteer efforts," noted Richard Meyers, Cottage Grove City Manager. "Marie has been instrumental in helping Cottage Grove appear more attractive to tourists and members of the community and is deserving of the recognition." 

Ms. Longfellow is the founding member of the Graffiti Rapid Removal Team (GRRT) and as team leader she organizing and deploys volunteers to quickly remove graffiti on public facilities, as well as working with property owners to remove graffiti on their own property.  

Cottage Grove is known as the Covered Bridge Capital of the West and is an All-American City. As a featured destination in the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region, Travel Lane County is honored to have volunteers like Marie Longfellow working hard to maintain the visual appeal of this destination. Visitors and residents are more comfortable because Marie and her GRRT volunteers are dedicating their time to quickly address graffiti in their community.
