6TH ANNUAL OREGON GRAN FONDO FEATURES TALK BY LEVI LEIPHHEIMER
Eugene, Ore. – Levi Leipheimer, former American professional road racing cyclist and Tour de France podium finisher, representing King Ridge Foundation, will make a special appearance at the Oregon Gran Fondo. Join Leipheimer on Saturday, May 20 at 11 a.m. at the Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine to hear him talk about the importance of pre, post and after care for athletes.
Purchase tickets now at IMATHLETE. Tickets are $10 with all proceeds benefiting partner non-profits. Proceeds from the Oregon Gran Fondo will benefit at-risk youth from the King Ridge Foundation and HOSEA Youth Services of Lane County. Levi has raised over $2 million in support of at-risk youth through the non-profit King Ridge Foundation.
Levi was twice US national champion, winning the time trial title in 1999 and the road race in 2007, and is an Olympic medalist. Leipheimer was born and raised in Butte, Montana and resides in Healdsburg, California.
The Oregon Gran Fondo features a Challenging 117 mile Gran, or 71 Mile Medio Routes all starting in the heart of downtown Cottage Grove at 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017. The routes feature 4000 to 6000 foot of climbing on some of the most scenic terrain in Oregon. The routes feature fresh fruit, espresso, and mechanical service at all aid stations. After your ride unwind with Plank Town Brewery, a post event meal from Backstage Bakery and complimentary massage for all while learning about King Ridge and local advocates HOSEA.
